Communications and information officer Christian Aid

Christian Aid is brave, passionate and outspoken. Are you? We’re looking for an experienced communications professional who not only understands the West Africa/DR Congo region, but can also engage a range of audiences on poverty issues.

You will be responsible for gathering and communicating human-interest stories from a number of countries. Constantly looking for innovative ways to tell those stories on and offline, you’ll help to communicate the impact of our work and break through indifference.

Your strong background in marketing, communications or journalism, ideally within an NGO, must include exposure to developing countries. You will be able to demonstrate that you are able to communicate complex stories using a variety of communications channels. A willingness to travel to areas of instability, along with fluent spoken and written French, is essential.

More than half the world lives in poverty. We aim to put a stop to that. So we campaign against the structures and rules that keep people poor. And we work with local organisations to give people strength to find their own solutions to the problems they face, irrespective of their religion. If you’re as determined as we are to end poverty and injustice across the world, work with us to make change happen.
We value the input of everyone who works for us. That’s why you can expect a wide range of rewards including a generous holiday allowance, a season ticket loan and the flexibility that helps you enjoy a good work/life balance.
