Country Programme Manager – Asia World Vision UK

Help us bring hope to the hardest places on earth.
 Country Programme Manager – Asia

Circa £30,172 dependent on experience

Milton Keynes with frequent overseas travel

The world’s largest overseas aid charity, we deliver real change for millions of children in the hardest places in the world. Our mission is to bring governments, local authorities, community groups, businesses and individuals together to tackle the causes of injustice and poverty – and to make a real and lasting difference in almost 100 countries. When you join our 40,000 passionate people, your work will be felt where it matters.

Forging effective partnerships between World Vision UK and designated National Offices, you will ensure that we deliver effective community based programmes to realise long-term change for children. At the same time, you will help to inspire the general public and UK Government to support our vital work, whilst nurturing productive relationships with donors and other agencies – so your interpersonal and negotiating skills will be deployed to the utmost. Above all, you will be capable of setting the highest standards in project delivery as you build local capacity, champion cross-organisational initiatives and seek to influence strategy at a high level.

Very experienced in operating within cross-cultural development settings, you will combine a degree level education with enormous interest in the developing world. In particular, you should be fully versed in programme management, capacity evaluation, facilitation and the drafting of project proposals for influential donors, and you will ideally possess some command of French, Spanish or Portuguese. Finally, you will be ready to bring our Christian ethos to life in everything you do and happy to spend up to a quarter of your time travelling to the designated countries .
