EUROCHAMBRES is the European Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, representing the interests of 2000 Chambers and their 20 million business members across 45 countries and all sectors of the economy (for more information: www.eurochambres.eu).
EUROCHAMBRES is recruiting, for its International Affairs Department, an Advisor(m/f) for our activities in Asia. This is an interim position for 6 month extendable, covering a temporary leave of the current advisor.

Responsabilities

Under the supervision of the Director of the Department, the Advisor will be in charge of the implementation of EUROCHAMBRES’ strategy towards Asia (excluding India) which includes i.a the:
  • Promotion of the EU Centres in China and Thailand;
  • Monitoring and lobby on EU-Asia trade matters;
  • Development of relations with relevant counterpart organisations in the region;
  • Drafting position papers, briefings, publications, correspondence, articles and press releases;
  • Identification of relevant EU projects, coordinate proposals and oversee implementation.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years working experience in trade promotion, marketing or communications;
  • Demonstrated knowledge on Asian economy; 
  • Knowledge of EU project management rules and EU institutions at large;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the European Chamber of Commerce network and similar business support organisations;
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written), knowledge of a second language an asset;
  • Team oriented, self-motivated, independent and flexible;
  • Capacity to integrate rapidly a multicultural team; 
  • Ability to work under pressure and handling different dossiers simultaneously.
