ERTICO – ITS Europe (www.ertico.com) is a multi-sector, public/private partnership pursuing the development and deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (ITS). ITS is the integration of information and communications technology with transport infrastructure, vehicles and users in order to improve the transport system as a whole including issues related to road safety, traffic efficiency, environmental issues and system and infrastructure security.
We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time (m/f) Communication Manager.
The role:
The Communication Manager will be responsible for managing the communication department, communicating ERTICO activities on development and deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). This requires close cooperation with both the European Commission and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities and tasks:
- Producing high quality news from all ERTICO activities using different communication means e.g. ERTICO eMagazine, website, press releases, brochures and presentations;
- Manage the dissemination of information for EC co-funded projects such FP7, CIP, Horizon2020,.. by ensuring the timely production of deliverables, milestones, communication & exploitation plans;
- Contribute to internal (project and company) communication.
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to translate complex technical issues into clear messages, presentations and publications;
- Working knowledge of Intelligent Transport Systems;
- Good working knowledge/experience of EC co-funded programmes;
- Manage the communication team;
- Have minimum of 5 years experience in communications in a similar environment;
- English speaker with excellent verbal and writing skills (C2 level), knowledge of other languages is an asset;
- Familiar with the use of different marketing/communication tools and concepts and good IT knowledge;
- Organised, professional, creative and efficient to work on own initiative and within a team.
ERTICO uses a full range of communication tools, including the Adobe CS5.5, Première Elements (and other video editing programs), various online tools (MailChimp, SurveyMonkey...) etc.
Knowledge of these or similar is an asset.
