The Organisation
QGC is a leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on supplying cleaner hydrocarbon energy to growing domestic and international markets.

We are establishing Queensland Curtis LNG, a world-first project to turn reserves of natural coal seam gas in the Surat and Bowen basins in Queensland into liquefied natural gas (LNG) – a carbon efficient fuel.

QGC, which is wholly owned by the British energy company BG Group, employs more than 4,300 staff and contractors. 
Position Summary
The Upstream Project will deliver gas and water handling facilities for QCLNG. To execute this scope, the project is organised to obtain the necessary licences, permits and landowner agreements to enable construction to commence.

The Site Approvals Crew Leader – Integrated Approvals is responsible for supervising and directing the site survey and the reports generated from the field reviews (Pegging Parties).
Key Accountabilities
Position SpecificOverall objective of the position is the field survey clearances and infrastructure locution selection of site for a project area as delegated by the Site Approvals Team (e.g. gathering system locution for the development blocks within a region or appraisal plan):
• Supervise site clearness for all infrastructure elements locutions for the Integrated Approval as related to the PACR and E & A process for their allocated scope.
• Ensure all stakeholders (e.g. Environment, Social Performance, Land Management, Health and Safety, Indigenous Relations, Engineering and Construction) complete the field site clearances and submit clearance reports for the QCLNG project to the site approval Team.
• Supervise the site survey process and give duration to the stakeholders on the Pegging party.
• Compile and review documentation produced by internal stakeholder groups from the pegging party (e.g. survey sketchers).
• Interface with all stakeholders in the Integrated Approvals process (e.g. Environment, Social Performance, Land Management, Health and Safety, Indigenous Relations, Engineering, Construction and Operations)
• Identify risks and eliminate or implement mitigation measures for the Site Approvals Team.
• Capitalise on potential opportunities in the field survey of proposed infrastructure.
• Work with peers to develop and continually improve processes and procedures for site approvals.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Technical Experience• Substantial experience & knowledge within QGC’s tenure’s.
• Substantial experience & knowledge of surveying and constructing CSG infrastructure.
• Substantial experience & knowledge in Steal and HDPE pipeline and earth works (e.g. road and well pads constriction).

Experience• Experience of coordinating and leading multidiscipline teams
• Experience across the project life cycle
• Wide exposure of major project interfaces
• Able to lead the implementation of HSSE improvements
 
Knowledge, Languages, Skills and Attributes• A proven track record in the coordination of multiple teams
• Excellent report recording
• Excellent communications skills, both written and oral, with the ability to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate with internal peers to influence decisions or ways of working
• Excellent team player with a pro-active and flexible attitude, and able to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Leadership attributes suitable for running a small team
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to explain complex information to a variety of different audiences
• Excellent computer skills
 
Special Features
• This is a site-based role, and the incumbent will be required to fly–in fly-out or be a local hire.
