C&P Representative for Post Award Contract Mgmt
The role holder reports to Project Services Manager and functionally has a reporting line to PMT C&P department
 
This is a contract position direct with BG for 1 year.
Position Summary
Provide C&P support to the Project Manager(s) in the administration of contracts in accordance with the BG way
Key Accountabilities

·         Finalization and implementation of the Contract Management Plan
·         Initial Contract briefing with CO (and Project Team where relevant)
·         Participation and taking notes of the Contract kick-off meeting
·         Participation and support in execution meetings (e.g. weekly/monthly progress meetings) with the Contractor
·         Expediting contractual deliverables (bonds, guarantees, insurances etc.)
·         Maintaining records related to C&P aspects for audit purposes
·         Contract advice and support
·         Validation of Contract re-measurement (Remeasurable Bills of Quantity based contracts)
·         Evaluation support, administration and approval of Contract change management (VOs, Amendments)
·         Support management of contractual claims and disputes
·         Formal correspondence and certification review and endorsement
·         Support review / management of key Sub-contractor’s Performance
·         Monitoring Contractor compliance of the Contract
·         Monitor Contractor compliance with its obligation under the Common Clause on Business Principles
·         Monitoring / reporting Contractor & key Subcontractor financial health
·         Support review / management of key Sub-contractor’s Performance
·         Development and issue of the C&P Close-Out Report (Projects)
·         Support handover to Operations 
·         Support payment certification

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience Needed:  
·         Experience in post award contract management within the contracts and procurement function related to   the Oil & Gas industry.
·         Experience in executing contract strategies and contract management plans
·         Experience of different contract types including EPCM, lump sum EPIC, EPC, Unit Rate and reimbursable contracts.
·         Exposure to a variety of civil/mechanical/electrical construction projects
·         Experience in negotiating Contractual and Insurance Claims
·         Commercial/contractual negotiating skills. Formal Legal training is desirable.
·         Working knowledge of SAP (a plus)
·         Qualified degree in an engineering / commercial discipline or other relevant qualification
·         Chartered member of a professional organization is an advantage
·         Demonstrated ability to apply HSSE principles within the contracts and procurement area
·         Experience in making decisions and finding solutions by taking a balanced view in resolving issues
·         Spots risks early and proactively communicates, develops and offers mitigating actions, solutions and plans
Formal Legal training, desirable

Knowledge Skills & Attributes:
 
Fluency in English both written and verbal
·         Good communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to challenge others in a constructive manner
·         Ability to maintain high ethical standards when dealing with providers of goods and services.
·         Resilient and enthusiastic with a passion for driving C&P excellence into the business.
·         Well organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
·         Skilled in the use of MS Office packages (MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
·         Ability to share knowledge and work in team
·         Needs to be self-motivated and able to meet strict deadlines.
·         Must also be able to quickly establish good working relationships with other stakeholders and to rapidly build trust
The candidate must be willing, on occasions, to work extended hours and at weekends to meet deadlines
