Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Applied Microeconomics

Salary in the range £36,556 to £47,933 p.a. incl.
The University of East London is a dynamic and rapidly expanding university at the heart of Europe's largest regeneration area and adjacent to the site of the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. UEL is in the top 10 of modern universities for research in the most recent RAE exercise.
The Royal Docks Business School has doubled its income in the last five years and we are seeking a new colleague to help us achieve our strategic goals of enhancing our students’ academic experience and future employability prospects and supporting our business community through research-informed teaching and knowledge exchange activity.
The successful candidate will teach introductory and intermediate Microeconomics and Applied Microeconomics in one or more of the following areas: public finance, regulation, law and economics, industrial organisation, labour economics, public policy and behavioural economics. You will also contribute significantly to research and knowledge exchange within the field and produce scholarly works as evidence of professional accomplishment.
You will hold a PhD in a relevant field (or completion by October 2013) and will demonstrate research potential and/or record. Experience of teaching and a commitment to the quality of our students’ experience in a highly diverse and multicultural environment are essential and a strong background in Econometrics is desirable.
