The primary objective of the Regional Agricultural Development Program (RADP) is to foster economic growth for farmers and agribusiness, strengthen market access, build food security, and enhance high agricultural value chains.

Position Summary | ||
Based in Kandahar, the Chief of Party (COP) oversees an agriculture program implemented southern Afghanistan, and serves as the technical and administrative supervisor of all RADP project activities. The COP is the senior in-country project representative and has overall responsibility for coordinating program activities at the highest levels among a diverse group of regional stakeholders and beneficiaries, government ministries and officials, and USAID/embassy personnel, while supervising local and international partner organizations and grants under contract. The position is based in Kandahar, Afghanistan with in-country travel for the duration of the project. The COP is capable of managing and administering clearly and effectively in an all-Pashto environment. The COP ensures timely project implementation, monitoring of activities, and management of project staff and subsidiaries. The COP has ultimate responsibility for project financial accountability and reporting to USAID and Creative Associates home office.

The Chief of Party will report to the Project Director of the Communities in Transition Division of Creative Associates in Washington, DC.
