Communications Associate

Reports to:

• The Communications Associate will assist the Project Manager ( communications) to plan, develop and implement outreach & communications activities, specifically all planned activities under the IDRC grant and other projects of IGS.

Responsibilities:

The following are the priorities of the Communications Associate:

• Assist IGS teams in developing outreach and communications activities, especially in converting research products into communicative materials
• Develop, Maintain and update mailing lists of all potential target audiences
• Assist in developing communications materials to support fund raising and Public Relations (newsletter, media briefs and other audio, video, communication materials);
• Assist to develop media productions, information packs, including press kits, IGS fact sheets, press releases, newsletters etc;
• Help to organize and coordinate communications related activities of various events of IGS.
• Develop and edit content for website, other media and coordinate maintenance of web site.

Job Nature: Full-time

Educational Requirements: Masters Degree in Journalism / Media and Communication

Experience Requirements: Minimum 2-3 year(s)

Additional Job Requirements:

• Minimum two or three years relevant experience;
• Fluency (oral and written) in English and Bangla;
• Strong writing skills and ability to edit contents and produce reports quickly;
• Excellent public relations and communications skills.
