Curriculum Developer Petrofac Training Services - Malaysia


To develop technical training material for the INSTEP Training Centre project (1 each for Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Process Engineering)

Key Activities:

  • Develop technical training material specific to discipline
  • Training material will include: PowerPoint presentations, Learner Technical handouts, lesson plans, assessments and marking schemes.
  • Follow an agreed schedule of material development ensuring material development runs to plan.
  • Ensure training material produced is submitted through an approved and agreed QA process.
  • Ensure that the agreed project format is integrated in to all training documentation and presentations
  • Act on findings of material evaluations
  • Ensure training material development performance and costs meet agreed levels
  • Issue regular reports to the project team on programme progress
  • Effectively contribute to development and ensure a common approach on material development
  • The incumbent will ultimately lead a team of instructors for the a relevant discipline.
  • Flexibility to move to Terengganu eventually would be critical

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment. Promote the use of safe working practices at all stages of the training programme
  • Abide by all local Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental Regulations and company Corporate Health, Safety & Environment Policy, and apply the company Safety Management SystemsExercise all appropriate safeguards when operating, or making minor repairs to, electrical equipment, ensuring that such are carried out in accordance with manufacturers instructions.
  Minimum qualifications:
  • A degree holder would be desirable but not essential
  • Extensive industry experience within Upstream or downstream sector of the oil and gas industry
  • Have experience and understanding of Competency frameworks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and fluent in the English language
  • Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft office
