Director of Operations Petrofac - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia


Job Description

  • Head Projects in all areas of operations of the Malaysia OCP Unit.
  • Over-see execution of projects, ensuring that ethics and safety principles govern, financial and schedule targets are met and client relationships are maintained.
  • Establish and maintain project management system, manuals and procedures.
  • Contribute towards Unit’s strategy setting and business development.
  • Contribute towards Unit’s proposals preparation by setting related execution strategies.
  • Identify Projects and Engineering teams needs in training are met to ensure improved performance.
  • Ensure development and implementation of Corporate initiative for Projects deliverables integrity & quality.
    Coordinate and interface with other projects within Petrofac to share experience and resources.
  • Contribute towards expanding Unit’s client and alliance list, pre-qualify, bid, win and execute successfully targeted projects.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 20 years experience in Offshore Construction related to oil and gas industry, with minimum of 10 yrs in management position. Should have very good experience in running onshore /offshore project , ability to manage the client .
  • Should have very good knowledge in EPIC/EPCm project execution in Malaysia.
  • Educated to degree level BSc or above
  • Strong project management/construction management experience.
  • Have leadership attributes [ Lead by example, Envision the future, build trust , recognize contribution]  
  • Dedicated to the delivery of exemplary safety performance.
  • Ability to effectively motivate, lead and support a multi-cultural team.
  • Ability to adopt a dynamic, problem solving approach to tasks.
  • Must comply with the Company Code of Business Conduct (COBC).
