Environmental Geochemist

Primary Tasks:
  • Undertake NERC National Capability funded research on urban change from environmental quality perspective including exploitation of existing baseline urban geochemical data from major UK cities; to identify processes and quantify impacts of change
  • To devise further research projects and funding applications in collaboration with scientists from BGS and other research teams including health, agriculture, soil quality
  • To publish outputs of significant impact
  • Contribute to the development of appropriate geochemical sampling, analytical, data manipulation methodologies
Other Tasks
  • Involvement in implementation of ongoing geochemical  field sampling programmes
  • Develop applications/outputs from baseline geochemical data in studies of geological evolution and mineral resources
