IT Specialist Traceability
UTZ Certified has developed an innovative traceability system called Octopus (Java, Sugar CRM, Liferay Portal, Jasper, Ubuntu, VMWARE ESX), enabling commodity industries to show transparency and give insight in the different levels of sustainability throughout the supply chain. UTZ uses Octopus for its own certification scheme, but also offers it to other sustainability programs in an application service-providing model.
Together with the functional project managers in your team and the external IT partners you will work on the continues improvement of the traceability system and other supporting applications. You are responsible for the technical coordination in the areas of architecture, infrastructure, security, and software development. With your ICT background you rapidly gain an understanding of the technical and functional side of Octopus. Your service-orientation and interpersonal skills enable effective communication and implementation. You have a hands-on attitude that you use to explore new technologies and know how to quickly obtain knowledge.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technical coordination in the areas of architecture, infrastructure, security, and software development
- Technical operation of Octopus and other IT-systems
- Perform risk assessments and impact analyses of the traceability system
The IT Specialist Traceability reports to the Traceability Manager.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- BBA/MSc working level;
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience as system manager or developer
- Expert in Linux, Apache, PHP, IPTables Firewall, Perl
- Excellent understanding of industry practices in IT security and infrastructure
- JAVA or .Net software development experience
- Ability to translate business requirement into ICT solutions
- Fluency in English and Dutch, other languages are a plus
- Independent and team player, organised in a dynamic environment
- Eagerness to achieve results, strong interpersonal skills
- In possession of a driving license

Employment is based upon 40 hours/week. This position implies irregular travel. We can only consider candidates who have a work & residency permit for the Netherlands/EU. Please note that we will check your references after the last interview.
