Our client, a prestigious name in the Oil and Gas Industry and a leading provider of oilfield services is looking for a Logistics Manager to join their growing team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate has to monitor projects with respect to cost, resource deployment, productivity improvements and manpower planning to ensure timely completion of project schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth transportation and timely delivery of the finished products.
- Interface with insurance agencies for regular declaration and reporting in case of any accidents while goods are in transit.
- Liaise with buyers for placing local and overseas orders and co-ordinate with suppliers for finalizing delivery schedules of materials/equipment.
- Formulate effective strategic plans to enhance logistics operations apply best practices to minimize wastage and inventory costs as well as meet budgets.
- Monitor and co-ordinate with various freight forwarders, third party agencies, ports, customs and handling agencies to accelerate shipments and clearances.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Graduate from any relevant field with good analytical and technical skills.
- Minimum of 18 years’ experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry in the GCC.
- Must have Oil & Gas EPC Projects experience.
