Regional Desk Coordinator - Asia Ref: RDC-A/IPD/1012
Contract: 1 year Fixed Term Salary: £32,000 per annum.
Base Location: International Office Birmingham (With up to 40% of field travel)
The individual will be responsible to provide supported for the allocated country offices in the delivery of effective programmes according to the Country Programme and Regional Strategies and raising the profile amongst donors and potential funders. The job holder will assist the offices in the process of developing high quality proposals and efficient reporting; to implement IRW programme quality framework /standards (IRQMS) as well as monitoring and evaluating the programme. The role will also support countries in maintaining up to date disaster preparedness and response plans in close coordination with the Humanitarian Department and partners. The post holder will be required to travel extensively in very short notice to IRW country offices to maintain regular communications within the department.
It is essential that the successful candidate has a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline with considerable overseas experience in a variety of countries and contexts. The individual will also need to have previous exposure with INGOs in developing countries in rehabilitation; development and emergency contexts as well as fundraising and dealing with EC, ECHO, UN and DFID. An excellent working knowledge of written & spoken English is essential.
