Job Summary
Cardno is an ASX-200 professional infrastructure and environmental services company, with expertise in the development and improvement of physical and social infrastructure for communities around the world.
Due to parental leave, we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Corporate Communications Advisor to join our team based in our Fortitude Valley Head Office for a 12 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Corporate Marketing Manager you will play a pivotal role in positioning the Cardno brand both locally and internationally, and to proactively communicate Cardno’s strategic business goals, achievements and group-wide announcements with internal and external audiences. This position is due to commence in March 2013.

Key Responsibilities
Specifically, your duties will include:
- Publication and content management of a variety of group-wide external communications materials including the company Annual Review and bi-annual global magazine
- Content management of a range of internal communications initiatives including global newsletters, intranet content and management updates
- Devising and implementing project plans to ensure delivery of campaigns are on time, budget, within scope and to quality standard required
- Close liaison with senior stakeholders across the business to gather content and manage approval processes
- Assistance in the development and implementation of communication strategies to positively promote the Cardno group
- Maintenance of Cardno website and intranet content, whilst ensuring process improvements are made
- Managing budgets for communication/marketing strategies in consultation with Corporate Marketing Manager
Other Requirements
In order to be successful for this role you will possess:
- Degree level qualifications in the field of Communications, Public Relations and/or Journalism
- Minimum eight years’ experience in generalist copywriting and communications
- Professional Services industry or corporate communications experience advantageous
- Highly developed communication and negotiation skills, to build strong working relationships with internal and external clients
- A proactive approach in being able to identify continuous improvement opportunities while being flexible to working in a highly dynamic environment
- A self-starter who can ‘hit the ground running’ and take ownership of projects, from conception to completion.
