This EFCC A&D Compliance Director will be responsible for developing, maintaining and validating automated transaction monitoring systems and models for the Corporate & Investment Bank line of business within the Latin America region. The Compliance Director will identify monitoring strategies that ensure effective identification of suspicious activity for the Treasury and Investment Bank products. The Director will partner with the LOB Compliance team in Latin America as well as the supporting AML Investigations groups in order to develop, test and implement new strategies for identifying suspicious and high-risk activity in the region and ensure that those strategies are documented and support the overall, global LOB strategy.

Responsibilities:
- Support the development and maintenance of an effective automated monitoring system and related KPIs
- Understand the full business transaction end-to-end, from source systems to the AML monitoring systems
- Support project managers in executing special projects involving new data feeds to the transaction monitoring systems
- Continuously monitor for process improvement & optimization opportunities
- Know where and how to extract data (transactions, accounts and customer level data)
- Identify data deficiencies and solutions to resolve
- Provide consultation to LOB regarding the monitoring approach of new products
- Govern the pipeline of tuning requests (e.g., tuning request templates)
- Execute data analysis to make sound recommendations
- Develop easy to understand and action oriented analytic reports to support rationale for systematic changes
Qualifications
Resource Skill set:
- Demonstrated knowledge of data management, systems and analytics
- Strong analytical skills required to organize and analyze multiple, complex data sets as well as strong interpersonal organizational, communication and creative thinking skills.
- Strong database skills, including working with advanced data sets, pivot tables, advanced database and statistical functions
- General understanding of AML issues and AML suspicious activity transaction monitoring systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a region and frequently synergize with the global monitoring strategy
- Strong ability to quickly grasp and understand business unit specific AML risks, develop comprehensive user requirements, and provide recommendations for appropriate automated solutions to mitigate those risks.
- Minimum of six years proven and progressive experience in financial services data analysis and/or systems support; AML Compliance specific experience preferred.
