Events & Hub Assistants, Central Bedfordshire
£7.25 – £7.81 per hour (dependent on relevant skills and experience) Varied pre-agreed hours per week – contract to 31 March 2015 – based in Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard or Houghton Regis.
A team of people is needed to run events and activities at our Active Travel Hub in Dunstable and in the local community – these activities will provide the public with information about active and sustainable travel in the area. This project aims to increase the use of sustainable and active travel resulting in an improvement in access to employment and training opportunities, local services, parks and green spaces, the wide countryside, thus improving general health and wellbeing.
With a good standard of education, you will have experience of dealing with the public and of running events. Your good written and verbal communication will enhance your good interpersonal skills when dealing with the public and you will have the ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks effectively. You will also be IT literate and committed to cycling and walking and the promotion of sustainable transport.
