About the Organization:
Al-Amal Microfinance Bank was established by private Law No. 23 of 2002. It started its actual operations in 2009 as the first micronance bank in the Middle East and North Africa with the objective of offering sustainable financial services to limited and low income households in Yemen, particularly owners of small and micro enterprises.
Background
The Bank decided to offer non-financial services such as training, financial, and technical consultancy by establishing a training center, with the aim of:
• Training young individuals willing to develop their skills to meet needs of the labor market;
• Encouraging them to establish their own enterprises;
• Assisting them irrespective of their majors and qualifications/certificates;
• Training MFI staff and customers.
About the Job:
Al-Amal Microfinance Bank is looking for a Training Center Manager. S/he will be responsible for developing an annual plan for the center’s business and estimating its annual budget.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Approving the center’s regular training plans and monitoring implementation of the center’s objectives and strategy-related working programs;
• Developing training programs, improving their outputs by identifying and addressing weaknesses, and promoting strengths, and following up training programs’ impact on the domestic labor market;
• Technically and managerially supervising subordinate/supportive staff, evaluating their performance and accomplishment, and proposing workable programs for increasing their knowledge and developing their skills;
• Ensuring that safety procedures are in place.
Qualifications:
• Relevant university degree;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant field;
• Be fluent in both written and spoken English;
• Have a capacity for planning and team management;
• Skilled in internal and external communication and public relations;
• Be free for full-time work.
