The role
With a minimum of 10 years professional experience, you will play a key role in:
Design, Construction Supervision, Procurement Support and Management of Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project
We are currently seeking talented professional staff for the following positions for the Elevated Mass Rapid Transport Project in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This 20 km long elevated MRT project will be the first in Bangladesh and will greatly improve public transport infrastructure in this major city. Associated with the project will be the construction of servicing depots. We are looking for
- MRT Specialists
- Railway Engineers
- Civil Engineers
- Structural and Geotechnical Engineers
- Electrical and Mechanical Engineers
- Architects and Depot Planning Experts
- Procurement and Contract Specialists
- Transport Planners
- Resettlement Specialists
- Environmental Specialist
- Safety and Health Experts
The Project is to commence early to mid- 2013.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- MRT/Rail experience (elevated rail projects preferred)
- Bachelor's degree and preferably a Master's degree in relevant field of expertise
- Demonstrated technical knowledge
- Good English communication skills – oral and written
- Professional delivery and appearance to ensure SMEC's image is maintained
- Courteous and business orientated manners when communicating with stakeholders to foster and promote good working relations
- Co-operative and flexible work style to work in a multi-cultural team environment
- Ability to apply new knowledge
