The Content & Data Manager sits within the overarching Rights Management structure and reports to the Head of Rights Management. For the duration of this attachment / contract the role is responsible for managing both the Content Management Team and the Content Migration Team, with the support of Executives. The position is based in the Media Centre, West London.
As a Content & Data Manager you'll be the central source of excellence for content management across BBC Worldwide globally. Your role will be to lead and manage the Content Management Team, agree strategy and set targets, objectives and appraisals of direct reports, providing support and guidance where necessary. In addition, together with the technology migration team, you'll deliver the agreed data migration strategy, activities, standards and timelines for implementation.
We're looking for someone with experience in data management within a media and/or sales environment. You'll demonstrate working knowledge of Media Maestro system and an in-depth knowledge of existing BBC Worldwide content systems such as ORAC TV, ORAC Video and interfaces. As well as experience in line management, appraisal and objective setting.
