Job Description: Our U.S. Financial Services (FS) Practice consists of approximately 2,300 assurance professionals, including 223 partners and 650 managers. It spans industry sectors and functional skill areas, including insurance, investment management, capital markets, banking and real estate. We serve many of the world's largest financial institutions. This means that we have insight into the challenges facing the industry. PwC is the leader is serving large, complex financial services institutions. In the U.S., we audit:

- 18 of the top 50 life insurers, representing 39 percent of admitted assets.
- 19 of the top 50 property and casualty insurers, representing 44 percent of net premiums written.
- 11 of the top 25 reinsurers, representing 47 percent of net premiums written.
- Over 2,900 mutual funds, representing 40% of all mutual funds and 58% of total industry net assets; this includes funds at nine and the advisor and funds at six of the top ten funds families.
- Two of the top three, three of the top 15, and five of the top 20 US-based commercial banks.
- Five of the top 20 mortgage servicers, and four of the top 20 mortgage originators.
- Nine of the top 50 broker-dealers.

PwC's Real Estate group provides advice to major owners and users of real estate, including investment banks, pension funds, corporate real estate departments, governmental agencies, developers and other private companies. Professionals within the Hospitality & Leisure sub-group focus on hospitality-related engagements for our clients.

Our international network assists clients with acquisitions and divestitures, appraising and valuing real estate, and maximizing operating and economic results. Assignments consist primarily of transaction services, valuation/appraisal, market analyses, litigation support and valuation advisory. Transaction services include assisting underwriters and buyers and sellers of real estate with strategy evaluation and due diligence analysis in the context of portfolio purchases, restructurings and initial public offerings of debt and equity securities.

Within the appraisal area, we have developed specialization in the valuation of two distinct asset classes: high-end, multi-phase properties, and large geographically diverse portfolios. In these assignments, we are often called upon not only to appraise, but also to make recommendations concerning the client's business issues. Valuation advisory assignments involve managing all aspects of the valuation process for the clients, including selection and oversight of the appraisal firm, establishment of review criteria and presentation of review results to our clients.
We are also the thought leader in the financial services industry. We produce almost 150 publications and e-briefings on the financial services industry, most of which are sector specific, as well as a wide range of training and special events on issues that affect reporting and corporate governance throughout the business world. Specific to the hospitality industry, our practice publishes Hospitality Directions.
Our consultants participate in engagements related to debt and equity placement, structured finance services, debt origination, commercial real estate and commercial mortgage securitization. We also participate in the analysis and implementation of Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) or Financial Accounting Standards (FAS) that apply to the measurement of Fair Value.

Position/Program Requirements: Knowledge Preferred:
Demonstrates thorough technical and quantitative knowledge of, and/or a proven record of success in a role as an individual contributor completing deliverables related to, cash flow models, financial calculations and projections with commercial real estate (including hospitality-related real estate).
Demonstrates thorough technical knowledge of, and/or a proven record of success in a role leveraging standards from, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) or Financial Accounting Standards (FAS) that apply to the measurement of Fair Value such as FAS 133, FAS 146, FAS 141, FAS 157, FAS 159.
Demonstrates through knowledge of, and/or a proven record of success in a role emphasizing the following areas: real estate related debt and equity instruments, hospitality and real estate terminology and financial reporting.

Skills Preferred:
Demonstrates thorough abilities with, and/or a proven record of success in a role emphasizing, conducting market research and effectively leveraging knowledge to analyze and resolve complex client problems.
Demonstrates thorough abilities with, and/or a proven record of success in a role emphasizing, preparing and presenting concise, accurate business requirements, documents and reports with attention to business writing and grammar.

Demonstrates thorough abilities with leading teams, and/or a proven record of success as a team leader on Real Estate-related project teams, including the following: creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members; providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner; and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.

Demonstrates thorough abilities with, and/or a proven record of success on Real Estate-related project teams accomplishing, the identifying and addressing of client needs on Real Estate-related projects: actively participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of Firm services; managing engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and participating in project economics management
