EnviroCentre Ltd is an Environmental Consultancy. Established as a private limited company in 1995, EnviroCentre has grown to have a permanent team of over 40 with a range of specialist staff located at our Head Office in Glasgow and in other locations across Scotland and Ireland. We are a commercial consultancy delivering innovation through experience and academic excellence. EnviroCentre’s current portfolio extends to renewable energy, ports and harbours, infrastructure, commercial/residential development, sustainability and environmental restoration.
The post will involve:
- Applying a range of technical skills and experience to support the wider team.
- Responsibility for the delivery of technical projects.
- Support in developing new business opportunities and writing tender proposals for water projects.
- Acting as day-to-day client interface.
- Regular liaison with regulatory bodies.
- Opportunities to work closely with other environmental disciplines such as ecology and environmental assessment.
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 5 or more year’s proven UK consultancy experience, having been closely involved in project delivery. UK experience is requisite.
- Proven skills and experience in project management.
- Proven technical abilities in at least two of the following core areas: civil/water engineering design; drainage design; flood risk management; hydrology; hydrodynamic modelling; geomorphology; river restoration; and environmental assessment.
- The ability to produce written reports to a high standard.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong understanding of quality systems such asISO 9001.
- Proven ability to help win new projects.
- A thorough understanding of water related legislation including flood risk, abstractions and discharges.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with clients, sub-consultants and regulators.
- An undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or relevant physical sciences.
- UK driving licence.
It would also be an advantage, but not essential to hold:
- Chartered Status.
- A Masters Degree in water resources or a hydrology related discipline.
