Main Objective
- Responsible for performing highly complex Project Control activities and/or supervising the overall Project Controls effort for a project or assignment.
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develops, implements, and directs the total Project Controls program on projects.
- Implements the Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures to ensure that data are converted correctly from the original estimate to the Project Control system.
- Analyzes variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicates the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management.
- Contributes to the proposal efforts for cost/scheduling activities.
- Reviews project profit recognition. Provides evaluation of opportunities with management.
- Maintains working knowledge of the functionality of automated cost management systems.
- Serves as Control Team Leader on medium-sized projects, if necessary.
- Provides meaningful, accurate historical data.
- Demonstrated experience in cost management and forecasting of large third party construction subcontracts.
- Demonstrate ability and functional knowledge of electronic cost control tools, and systems, including spreadsheets.
- Ability to interpret cost and engineering & construction progress data to verify contractor claimed progress.
- Demonstrable ability to interpret and analyze project and Construction schedules, assess logic and prepare forecast.
- Responsible for compilation of Site progress data and its input into Weekly & Monthly and special reporting.
- Review and analysis of Contractor 3-week look ahead schedule and overall Level 4 schedule and monitoring.
- Review and analysis of Contractor quantity based progress measurement database, providing input to Contractor Monthly progress Certification.
- Provision of input to Change Management system.
- Facilitation and coordination of PMC documentation between Site and Project home office(s).
- Supporting Construction Manager in early phase of Construction mobilization.
- Awareness of security in the workplace, particularly with respect to management of sensitive information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Main Duties
Qualifications Required
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in engineering or project support(minimum 10 years).
- With 4 to 6 years of MENA, Saudi and E&C experience.
- Work Experience in Saudi Arabia on Petrochemical Projects (on large scale oil & gas and petrochemical capital projects).
- In addition to the degree preferences or relevant experience for the Project Controls Specialist, must have had leadership roles on various projects.
