Project Coordinator (Guangzhou)


Position Overview

The Program Coordinator will be based in Guangzhou and report to the China Project Manager and performs a wide range of research, logistics, and consulting duties.  This includes participating in consulting projects and membership, desk research, report writing, event organization, administrative support, logistics, financial processes, travel arrangements, and supporting project processes.  

Responsibilities

Project Research

  • Desk research
  • Report writing in both English and Mandarin

Project Implementation

  • Consulting projects management and engagement
  • Impact measurement
  • Partnership establishment
  • Writing project related articles, blogs, and other external communications

Project Administration

  • General office management
  • Coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings and projects
  • Ensure smooth operation of project in China by liaising with colleagues, internal BSR departments and external parties (factories, researchers, NGOs and academics).
  • Assist the translation of project material and report in an accurate and timely manner.

Other duties as required and assigned by the Project Manager.

Qualifications


NOTE: Only candidates committed to long-term superior work and having the traits below will be considered:

  • Minimum of Two (2) years professional work experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in both English and Mandarin
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, human resources management, anthropology, sociology, media or law preferred
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, including the ability to strategically plan and deliver on tasks, prioritize work, meet deadlines, manage time and communicate progress
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and having a positive nature and pro-active approach
  • Able to handle multiple tasks in a busy office setting
  • Flexibility to work both independently and within a team setting
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as online tools
  • Knowledge of supply chain factory conditions procedures
  • High ethical standards and commitment to BSR’s core values of Leadership, Integrity and Respect
  • Willingness to undertake the business travel
