Position Summary:
This position will support the expansion of ANSI’s global programs, with a particular emphasis on China
Responsibilities:
International Development- Assist in development of new programs to advance ANSI’s mission internationally
- Support development of proposals or other fundraising for new programs
- Successfully implement new international programs on time and on budget
- Support departmental budgeting, document management, and related activities
- Serve as primary link between ANSI’s China-based team and U.S. – based members
- Present informational updates and information to ANSI’s staff and membership
- Work with ANSI’s China team to carry out existing and future initiatives
- Work with ANSI’s China team to evaluate and prioritize opportunities in China
- Support fundraising efforts to support ANSI’s activities in China
- Support meetings, workshops and other engagements with the PRC government
- 4+ years related work experience
- Proven business development and/or fundraising experience
- Background in standardization, conformity assessment or regulatory fields a plus
- U.S. and China government relations experience a strong plus
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and rapidly changing environments
- Ability to work effectively with various levels within the organization
- Project management experience; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
- Bachelors’ degree required; further study a strong plus
- Outstanding written and oral English communication skills
- Written and oral Mandarin Chinese communication skills a strong plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project)
- Position requires extensive travel domestically and internationally
