Checking the health of systems by continuous monitoring and checking using tools, reports and audit logs
Communicating with external vendors and subcontractors when needed
Coordinating work between engineers, second and third level
support and keeps track and logs of changes
Executing configuration, customization and tuning of the supported systems
Fixing outstanding issues and problems
Identifying upgrading needs, new systems, tools and equipments
Maintaining systems' configurations and setup and makes sure all configurations are documented
Managing changes, upgrades, enhancements and migration of systems
Monitoring operational systems and live environment in terms of
notifications, errors and even logs
Monitoring performance and make sure that the current systems have the required capacity
Performing regular backups and disaster precautions in order to
keep systems operational and running
Preparing specifications, technical requirements and alternative solutions as needed
Providing knowledge, help, and solutions in his specialty
Supervising changes and make sure that consistency and integrity are not violated
