The successful candidate will join a very active inter-disciplinary group in the Centre for Computational Science, and will work on the development and deployment of medical and clinical applications of the lattice-Boltzmann method for blood flow. This post is funded by the Qatar National Research Fund as part of the CER2EBRAL project designed to support surgical decision support in the treatment of patients suffer in g from aneurysms and other neurovascular malformations.
The appointee will work primarily on large scale scientific applications of HemeLB, a powerful lattice-Boltzmann modelling environment for the simulation of blood flow in support of clinical decision making and physiological research. The postholder will be expected to engage closely in the development of software with in the project, and with the supporting tools and services under concurrent development, that will facilitate efficient deployment of HemeLB with in a clinical setting with in one or more hospitals collaborating in this work.
