Assistant Product Manager (Trade Finance) Riyad Bank - Riyadh


Job Purpose Statement:

This job exists to promote and jointly market with RMs trade finance products to Corporate customers within the overall agreed relationship/sales plans.
The job involves developing/structuring of trade finance products according to customers needs and offering end-to-end solutions to customers
In addition to developing new business opportunities, the job holder will also be required to promote greater product penetration with customers, interact with other product specialists to cross-sell and identify leads for other areas in the bank.
Principal Accountabilities:

1-    Support the Relationship Managers in their selling efforts by providing expertise and structuring know-how and conduct sales calls jointly with RMs.
2-    Participate in end-to-end sales process including relationship planning, presentations/product demonstrations, technical discussions with customers and relationship reviews.
3-    Promote greater product penetration with customers and identify leads for other areas of the bank.
4-    Provide expertise in explaining products to customers (all segments) and structuring tailor-made solutions (sophisticated segment) to support RM’s marketing efforts.
5-    Train customers on products and on customized solutions.
6-    Maintain adequate checks and controls within unit in line with policies and procedures.
7-    Price customer transactions/products with RMs in line with agreed benchmark pricing and relationship/sales plans.
8-    Determine and keep abreast of market conditions with regard to aspects of product development.
9-    Interact with Customer Service Unit to resolve complaints and inquiries related to trade finance products and solicit customer feedback on performance.
10- Organize product launches to create customer awareness.
11- Participate in completing the relationship/sales plans for trade finance products.
12- Prepare call reports when calling unaccompanied and also review the contents of joint call reports with RMs.
13- Take action on action steps identified in call reports relating to trade finance products.
14- Ensure adherence to SLAs.
15- Follow up with RMs to ensure that all product documentation is secured from customer and up to date in line with the Bank’s policies.
16- The Jobholder is required to follow any additional instructions provided by his Manager within or in relation to the scope of his work.

Qualification/ Experience:
  • Graduate in business background
  • Minimum 6 years of banking experience, at least 3 years of which should be working in trade finance area either in operations or in sales with a top tier Saudi or joint venture bank. Good working knowledge of ICC rules applicable to trade finance products and its market practice
