Brief description: DFID is seeking to recruit a senior local staff member for a full time Wealth Creation Team Leader based in DFID’s East Jerusalem (Sheikh Jarrah) Office.
The Department of International Development (DFID) is the part of the UK Government that manages Britain’s aid to developing countries. DFID’s Jerusalem office is part of the British Consulate General.
DFID is seeking to recruit a senior local staff member for a full time Wealth Creation Team Leader (grade A2) post due to start as soon as possible. This is a fixed term post for 2 years with potential extension for further 6 months. It will be based in DFID’s East Jerusalem (Sheikh Jarrah) Office.
This is a management post that requires strong understanding and sound experience of how the private sector can contribute to economic growth and state building in the Palestinian context. It requires excellent communications (both verbal and written) and influencing skills to take forward high level policy and programming agenda.
Candidates must meet Government of Israel employment criteria for working in Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories.
