Job Purpose Generate and optimize revenue for EY Cargo (EYC) by effective management of the worldwide mail contracts. To develop future business compatible with EY networks requirement for loads. To manage and lead cargo handling operations to make sure all mail SOPs are complied with and enhanced as appropriate to deliver a premium mail service to our customers. To manage standards and mail contract performance through SLA reporting and manage process change in line with EY cargo development needs. Responsibilities Develop and implement cargo sales and marketing strategies for the mail business  and propose to the business the most profitable mix to acquire. The role will be responsible for delivering incremental revenue for Etihad Cargo  Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships with all mail authorities and partner airlines Manage tenders from Post Offices and extra territorial offices of exchange? The key decision maker in deciding who we tender with and what the proposition will be Collect, collate, provide feedback to HQ and pro-actively take action on market intelligence Manage ongoing contracts with Post Office (PO) and Extra-terrestrial offices of exchange.(ETOE) in accordance with Universal Postal Union (UPU) and legal/operational requirements of the airline Co-ordinations with local GSA/airline offices for cargo allocation for mail Co-ordination with operations at transit hub for space allocation and prioritization of mail by category and PO Escalation point of contact for customer service Escalation point of contact for finance Co-ordinate with capacity management to communicate to PO and ETOE’s any embargoes, raised or lifted Collaboration with local authorities and ensure implementation and compliance to all security requirements for mail Ensure full data capture and system functionality to handle, manage and bill mail shipments Liaise with Network Handling team to ensure all mail is handled across the network in line with defined contractual expectations and obligations Source and recommend next generation mail handling solutions to position EY as carrier of choice for postal authorities across the network The role will require the ability to manage several different tasks at the same time these will range from commercial sales to operational oversight and revenue integrity This role will require specific mail air freight experience to execute and deliver a mail revenue incremental sales objective Requirements Qualification & Education: Degree level education to BA hons with acquired specialization in cargo mail sales and operations experience of 8 -10 years Experience: Post holder must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of cargo mail sales and operations gained over a period of not less than 7 years in a senior sales role, with a proven track of success in business development, achieving sales targets and management of service providers and demonstrated ability to interact effectively in both customer and supplier environment at all levels. Training & Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Fluent in written and verbal English High computer literacy Sound Knowledge in air cargo and industry business drivers Sound knowledge of air cargo operations procedures and processes Excellent numerical analysis abilities and knowledge of reporting systems Specialised cargo mail knowledge and commercial contacts to bring new business to EY Cargo
