We are seeking a full-time Resident Project Representative (RPR) or Construction Manager to assist with the construction administration services for a large municipal Water Treatment Plant construction project. The project is located in Guntersville, AL and includes the raw water intake, pumping, and transmission facilities, the water treatment plant, and the finished water transmission main. The RPR will provide continuous observation of the progress and quality of the construction work and determine if it is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents. The RPR will provide full-time representation through project completion which is expected to be at least three years.  We intend to employ the individual selected but may consider a contractor relationship if so preferred by the selected candidate.
Duties will include:
  • close attention to the project schedule,
  • participation in meetings with the Contractor,
  • serving as Tetra Tech’s liaison with the Contractor,
  • receiving of samples furnished by the contractor,
  • daily observation of work performed,
  • complete and thorough documentation, document filing and reporting to Tetra Tech, and
  • the reporting of any health and safety concerns observed
For this position which will be the primary face of Tetra Tech on site, we require significant experience with Resident Project Representation on large municipal Water or Wastewater Construction projects and we prefer candidates with a BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering - relevant experience, however, will overcome this BS preference.
