euroscript group is looking for an ICT engineer to reinforce the global ICT Services team. The geographically distributed team supports the whole ICT infrastructure and solutions (including Data Centres in several subsidiaries, Intel/ESX and SPARC/Solaris based servers, databases and application server environments) being used by 1400+worldwide euroscript employees and remote users. As a strategic member of the team, you will be responsible for the support of various key technologies such as Unix/Linux based systems and servers, storage and backup solutions and related systems and technologies. You will have to ensure the delivery of results whilst following corporate and local Luxembourg regulatory policies.
To strengthen our global ICT Services we are seeking to employ at the earliest date in our office in Bertrange (Luxembourg) or in Lisbon (Portugal) an ICT System administrator.
Your tasks will include:
- Analysis and permanent enhancement of the Server farm (Oracle & Solaris, Dell & VMware)
- Constant maintenance of Storage Systems (SAN) and backup solutions, adapting to current and future needs.
- Basic network administration and support (Microsoft Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, WSUS, DHCP, DNS, Deployment Services, group policies).
- Installation / configuration of various software products.
- Communicate with colleagues all over the world, being sensitive to colleagues needs in different working environment.
- Anticipate trouble and make proposals to fix them with the team.
- Pro-active reporting to the management.
- Realize the concepts that covers best the needs of the group, not only local once.
- On-call duty respecting worldwide time shifts, different bank holidays as well as week-ends.
Desired Skills & Experience
- University degree in IT or comparable qualification with a minimum of 3 years professional experience in the abovementioned fields
- Language skills: Fluent in English is a must (speaking and writing) - French and/or German are an advantage
- Experience of managing UNIX based systems (preferably Solaris and Ubuntu)
- Good know-how in working and supporting Windows based domains and environments.
- Sound knowledge of Scripting languages (Unix Shell, Perl, Python, PHP, PowerShell)
- Exchange 2010 knowledge will be considered as an asset
- Openness for new technologies and solutions with a sense for new trends
- Willingness to work flexible hours
