Job Details
We are currently looking for an Intermediate – Senior Designer/Engineer with Municipal experience to join Tetra Tech's Water practice in Winnipeg.
Responsibilities
· Working closely with senior engineers and designers on land development, environmental, and municipal projects.
· Preparation of Engineering Designs.
· Working closely with drafting and support staff.
· Assisting in design drafting using Civil 3D.
· Providing project engineering and technical expertise, modeling, analysis, and design services on multi-disciplinary projects with a focus on municipal servicing, grading and drainage and stormwater management.
· Participating in studies, assessments, modeling, preliminary and detailed design, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents, tendering, and contract administration.
· Preparing reports and proposals.
· Liaising with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, and contractors.
· Maintaining familiarity with current design and analysis techniques, developments, etc.
Job Requirements :
· 5-10 years of progressive experience in municipal engineering.
· Skills in field work, surveying, and design.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
· Proficient with AutoCAD. Familiarity with Autodesk vertical products including Civil 3D.
· Knowledge of design and analysis software including EPA SWMM, XP SWMM, Infoworks, EpaNet, ArcGIS.
· Willingness to learn new skills and work as necessary.
· Strong technical, organizational and communication skills.
· Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
· Good inter-personal skills and ability to work as part of a team
Education
· Undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
· Eligibility for registration with APEGM.
· A professional engineering designation (P.Eng.) is preferable.
Or
· College diploma in civil engineering technology.
· Eligibility for registration with CTTAM.
· Certified Engineering Technologist designation (CET) is preferable.
