Our client is a major international property developer with an ever growing presence throughout the Middle East and an enviable reputation globally. Due to continued growth within the UAE and GCC, our client is looking to recruit a Senior / Interior Designer with a strong portfolio in both the Hospitality and Residential sectors to join its top tier design team based in Dubai.
- Assume responsibility for and assist in the development of design concepts.
- Plan project and subordinate designer work flows.
- Assist with resourcing requirements and planning for studio projects.
- Clarify scope of work and prepare schedule for review.
- Work closely with the Design Managers and Design Director to develop a suitable design for the project.
- Ensure the project is kept within schedule.
- Monitor the work of the design team and to help solve any problems.
- Be able to visualize design ideas in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch-up, Illustrator, physical model and/or other suitable media.
- Prepare presentations for client, consultant and/or relevant parties.
- Liaise with necessary consultants regarding the project and to discuss and carefully consider how to incorporate their comments into our design.
- Work with the presentation and 3D Visual Team to develop a concept sketch into a developed 3D design.
- Specify suitable and international standard material finishes.
Desired Skills & Experience
In order to be considered for this role, the successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
- Degree qualified (or equivalent due to visa restrictions) in Architecture, Interior Design or a relevant related discipline
- A proven track record in the Interior Design industry – a minimum of 10 years’ post graduate experience is essential.
- Be able to demonstrate a strong portfolio within the Hospitality and Residential sectors.
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the UAE market, ideally with a well reputed Design firm.
- Must have a good command of the English language – written and spoke
- Excellent leadership and communication skills are a pre-requisite of this role.
Please note for this particular role, our client will accept applications from candidates not currently based in the UAE, however, only candidates who have previously worked in the UAE / GCC will be considered.
