Technical Manager - Hydroprocessing Catalysts Albemarle - Dubai


Job Description

  • Have knowledge of and preferably experience with designing or operation ofHPCunits in refineries.
  • Proactively monitorHPCunit operations and catalyst performance, with the aim to increase customer profitability and satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present technical evaluations and recommendations for catalyst applications to existing and potential customers.
  • Be a contributing member of the technical service group by providing in-house support to the region (preparation of technical proposals, review of unit operations and technical knowledge sharing)
  • Provide field support for catalyst related operations at the customer sites
  • Interact with and assist customer R&D divisions in the evaluation of catalyst systems
  • Prepare and present technical papers at conferences in the region
  • Supervise and coach a team of Technical consultants

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Chemical engineer (MTech / MSc) with at least 10 years of relevant experience. The preferred candidates must have experience in the oil refining industry, in the design of hydroprocessing units or in hydroprocessing catalysts.

  • Command of English is excellent, both written and spoken. The preferred candidates must have excellent communication and presentation skills that allow interaction on different levels at customers from different cultures. A strong mix of commercial and technical skills is needed to be successful.
