Head - Digital Advertising Dialog Axiata PLC - Sri Lanka


This position will be responsible for the management of all aspects of Dialog Digital Services (DDS) to lead its advertising vertical.

The job will collaborate closely with advertising agency partners, serve as their ambassador within DDS, evangelise new DDS products and technologies throughout the agency, identify sales and business-development opportunities, and develop and manage strong relationships with agency influencers and decision-makers.

The key objectives are to develop new business opportunities, increase existing business to maximise revenue through industry insight and interaction with the agency community and should also contribute to the development of innovative DDS technology platforms and direct product strategy.

Key Focus Areas

  • Evangelize DDS within the advertising agency community.
  • Solidify executive relationships and drive revenue growth with targeted agencies.
  • Develop product strategy and contribute to the development of innovative technology platforms.
  • Devise partnership-building strategies.
  • Develop best practices and benchmarking initiatives to optimize agency relationships

Desired Skills & Experience

Educational Qualifications
  • MBA / MSc in Marketing & Sales
  • Associated member of an International body (CIM/SLIM)

Work Experience
  • Previous experience in multi-channel digital advertising including online, mobile (including in-app) and digital signage. Previous experience in Telecommunication/ IT sector will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Senior Managerial Role.

  • A deep understanding of the industry's issues, a vision for its growth and a commitment to advance Dialogs forward-looking strategies within the marketplace.
  • Intensive experience in technology, media sales or digital advertising sales, with an emphasis on online and mobile in-app advertising; able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the ad technologies space and its key players.
  • Ability to work well in a large, fast-paced, complex, and perpetually evolving environment; proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive sales goals is essential.
  • Ability to develop and grow senior-level relationships with agencies and advertisers.
  • Knowledge of big data analytics technology and techniques
  • Ability to successfully engage with, collaborate with and even persuade product management and engineering teams is a must.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent leadership & general managerial skills.
