The successful candidate would be responsible to Manage, facilitate and implement all promotional activities. Has to have the ability to achieve all pop objectives. Would be required to mange all sales activities by ensuring all sales targetsare met. Liaise with all clients and depots to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Research and implement newinnovations and inform field force thereof. Manage all duties and performance of field staff. Control and manage all expenses according to allocated budget. Ensure serviceability of all assets. Would be responsible for accurate and efficient call cycle management.
Requirements:
  • Must have a Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
  • Sales and Marketing Qualification would be advantageous
  • 5 Years sales experience in the FMCG environment
  • Previous managerial/supervisory experience
  • Facilitate the implementation of promotion grids
  • Communicate promotional activities to field force
  • Ensure understanding of objectives of various promotions
  • Ensure promotional activities have been implemented and maintained within first week
  • Ensure generic planograms are implemented and Maintained
  • Ensure store-specific planograms and category flows are implemented and Maintained
  • Store files present in all stores according to company standard.
  • Communicate store specific sales targets to the Field Force set for entire new Financial Year
  • Ensure out-of-stocks are limited and Communicated
  • Develop alternative strategies to increase sales in line with client strategic drivers per buying group (Account plan)
  • Ensure stock pressure is applied and that Sales targets are achieved
  • Provide continuous feedback as per client requirements (competitor activities, promotions, ROS, product recalls, innovations, pricing, planograms, urgent deliveries)
  • Compile monthly and weekly reports to Regional Managers
  • Weekly presentations on sales, credit notes recovery action plan
  • All duties pertaining to staff management
  • Support staff with in-store conflicts/issues
  • Train and develop staff in-store training
  • Manage performance
  • Manage rewards and remuneration
  • Monitor all expenses within budget parameters
  • Ensure all Assets are maintained as per Company Policy
  • Accurate management on call cycles on call cycle system
  • Effective compliance to Call Cycle of Field Staff
  • Effective route optimisation on Call Cycle
  • Analysing reports on Area Marketers and Identifying irregularities on time keeping.
  • The successful candidate would be required to be honest, hard working and extremely motivated
  • Must be a Hands-on, people’s person who is brilliant at negotiation, well presented, with excellent problem solvingand conflict resolution skills
