Qualifications: In order to facilitate the learning experience, candidates should be seeking a career in print, broadcast, or online journalism. Candidates should be self-motivated, able to multi-task, have a good attitude, and be able to function well in an environment with short deadlines and quick turnaround projects.
Duties: Turner's Students @ Work Internships are paid at minimum-wage and structured to last approximately 12 weeks during the Summer 2013 semester. Generally interns will work from June 3rd to August 23rd. Resume and Cover Letter are required. Students should have a strong academic record (GPA 3.0 or above strongly preferred).
Students must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship. In addition, students may not have graduated college or graduate school prior to the start of the internship. Students seeking college credit are strongly encouraged to apply.
NOTE TO ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: All international students will be required to provide documentation of proper visa paperwork prior to the beginning of the internship if accepted to the program. Due to the high volume of candidates for Turner's Internship Program, interested students are encouraged to apply for openings as soon as possible, as these positions will be filled on an ongoing basis. Future semester Internship postings will be available after the current semester deadline.
