Understanding our audience is at the heart of BBC values. The BBC Marketing & Audiences (M&A) department is consequently at the beating heart of the BBC and provides technical and business analytics, consultancy and bespoke analysis to a range of stakeholders throughout the business.

Role

You will be part of the team that is responsible for the measurement and reporting of all BBC Online. The role involves responsibility for complete and reliable measurement of all areas of BBC Online.
 
You will provide analysis, insights, product support and end-user support, as well as all communication of digital stats to the business and be an expert in the BBC’s reporting tools, and how they are used and deployed.
 
Maintaining and continuously improving the BBC analytics is key, by making sure all projects are tagged and best-practice implementation techniques are used on all online platforms.
You will promote and support a data-driven culture at the BBC.

Requirements

You'll be required to have a thorough understanding of the BBC’s web analytics systems, and to ensure they are optimally configured and deployed, liaising with senior and product management to understand and advise on their reporting requirements.

You'll proactively identify gaps in data capture strategy and recommend enhancements, whilst focusing on providing stats which are increasingly accurate, usable and actionable, with a complete awareness of developments in the field and keeping up to date with current best practice.
