The successful incumbent will be required to manage the safe execution of Underground Mining operation in order to ensure the achievement of set targets and to ensure compliance to the provisions of the Mine Health and Safety Act,Minerals Act and its Regulations. Involvement in the start-up of the new underground operation and production planning.

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate
• Relevant Technical Diploma (Mining Engineering / Degree)
• Must be in possession of Mine Managers’ Certificate of Competency (GCC Mines)

Work Experience:

• 3 years + in an Underground / Production Manager position in Coal Mining industry OR
• Mine Overseer (5 years’ + experience as MO) in development for Production Manager position who is in possession of Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency

Salary and Benefits:

• Total Guaranteed Annual Package (R800,000 - R1m – negotiable depending on expereince) (Cost to Company)
• Inclusive in Guaranteed Annual Package
• 13th cheque equivalent to one month’s basic salary
• All employees participate in an Old Mutual Provident Fund of which the company contribution (which is included in CTC is 7.5%) and the employee contribution also 7.5%
