Open Pit Mine Production Chief Engineer

Description :	Contract (renewable) fly-in-fly-out position in the mining sector in the south of Democratic Republic of the Congo (safe area). Single status position with a six day working week. Reports to: OPM Manager OperationsAnnual Salary: US$140,000 - US$155,000 (tax free plus benefits), depending on qualifications and experience. KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:• Ability to manage local and expat crews to deliver desired results.• Have worked in an open pit mining environment and have a good understanding how an open pit works• Should understand mining schedules and mining sequences
Qualifications :	TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED: • Degree in Mine Engineering. • Should have at least 10 years’ experience working in open pit. Should be able to act as the Mine Manger as needed. • Should have experience working with mine planning software and have a sound understanding of the technical side of mining. • Experience in water management • Dewatering skills are required • Experience working with miners to fulfil the mine plan • Management and organization of open pit big fleet for better productivity and utilization.
