ASSISTANT MOVEMENTS Schiphol Airport Amsterdam

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission through direct supervision of Cluster Manager Operations, the incumbent is responsible for the meticulous, efficient and effective preparation and achievement of migrant arrivals, departures and transits at Schiphol Airport.
1. Responsible for the (cost) effective, efficient booking of migrants leaving as part of an IOM NL programme.
2. As file processor, responsible for achieving the migrants departure. This includes: checking availability of travel documents, when necessary requesting transit and arrival assistance, in-flight medical support. Informing all parties involved, such as, UC and KMAR.
3. Ensure the payment authorisation of the support contribution determined by the AVR counsellors on basis of the frameworks formulated.
4. Checks and processes airline ticket invoices and ensures their payment by Finance unit in The Hague or IOM Manila. Registers all costs in CRS, MiMOSA and I-Gator. Responsible for allocating costs to the relevant projects.
5. Ensures the processing of arrivals in the framework of family reunification and invited refugees. Supervises the migrants involved and assists them with immigration formalities and customs. Takes care of the migrants' initial reception and hands them over to family members or to the relevant institutions and/or aid organisations.
6.Supervises individuals and groups in transit at Schiphol Airport and, if necessary, during border formalities. Checks documents, supervises groups (possibly involving arranging refreshments and meals, etc.), provides reception and processing, and care in the event of possible incidents (medical help in the event of illness, arranging temporary visa, reception in the event of and responding to delays, etc.) and supervises the boarding procedures.
7. Ensures the correct protocol of the departure procedure. Supervises check in, border and security formalities, arranges payment on the basis of the specific departure scheme and boarding procedures. Responds to delays, possibly by re-booking flights.
8. Ensures the overall supervision of efficient progress of the supervision of movements and coordinates planning with colleagues. Monitors incoming (e-)mail correspondence and   harmonises deviant messages with the Cluster Manager. Communicates with other missions and departments concerning the progress of the movements. Harmonises matters with the Cluster Manager, the parties involved at Schiphol Airport and at relevant IOM missions in the event of an incident.  
9 Is the contact for organisations/institutions (along with immediate colleagues) with regard to IOM's supervision activities at Schiphol Airport. Thereby fulfils an informative function for activities within the Movements cluster and, where necessary, a referral function to other IOM units. Presents IOM as a reliable partner (for discussion) and contributes to IOM's desired image.

Technical
- Experience in CRS, MiMOSA and I-Gator
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Hold EC passport and residing in EC
- College level
- Knowledge of travel and administration, and international relations at a higher   at professional level
- Knowledge of the specific (administrative) procedures for asylum and migration problems   in relation to transport and travel, and of the relevant (inter)national parties involved
Languages
Fluent in English, preferably another official IOM language
