Researcher for Documentation and Dissemination of ‘Praktek Cerdas’
in PNPM-Rural and Generasi
Jakarta, Indonesia – AusAID funded Poverty Reduction Support Facility (PRSF)
PRSF is a joint facility between AusAID and the Government of Indonesia to improve the quality of policy advice for poverty programs in Indonesia.

The objective of this activity is to identify, document, and disseminate examples from PNPM-Rural and Generasi implementation of practices, that, if carried out on a larger scale, would contribute to the achievement of PNPM Roadmap objectives and Action Items.

The role of the Researcher for Documentation and Dissemination of ‘Praktek Cerdas’ will be to assist lead research to develop three case studies through focus group discussions and key information interviews conducted at the village, sub-district, and district levels.  Key informants would include PNPM facilitators; district government officials from BPMD, health, education, Bappeda, and the Bupati offices; Puskesmas personnel; posyandu volunteers; school committee members; and so on based on the parameters of the particular case.
As the Researcher for Documentation and Dissemination of ‘Praktek Cerdas’ you will be required to undertake the following tasks:
  1. Field report submitted to lead researcher
  2. Contribute to inception report defining the the cases selected and research work plan based on consultations with Kesra, TNP2K, PMD, PSF and AusAID and approved by TNP2K.
  3. Assist and contribute lead researcher to develop Power point presentations in Bahasa Indonesia and English documenting the main findings of the cases designed to deepen senior policy makers understanding of the constraints to carry out certain Action Items as well as to inform strategies to overcome these constraints.

Selection criteria includes the following:
  1. Minimum Master’s degree in social sciences / relevant field.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in conducting social research
  3. Experience in conducting research related to community empowerment program/local political economy
  4. Experience in conducting field work up to village/local level, including conducting key informant interviews and FGDs
  5. Experience in conducting data analysis and report writing for multi-provincial qualitative study
  6. Excellent qualitative research and communication skills.
  7. Excellent skills in oral and written Bahasa Indonesia and English.
