Senior Business Development Manager

DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:
The Senior Business Development Manager for McDonald’s APMEA Brewed Beverages will be responsible for developing a long-term vision for the coffee and tea categories that maps out opportunities and approaches required to create sustainable volume, revenue and profit growth aligned to our overall portfolio strategy at McDonald’s.  This will include creating and implementing a 3-5 year business plan in areas such as certified sourcing/sustainability, innovation pipeline, training model and curriculum, technical support structure, promotional best practices, country expansion strategy including China, and a regular communication routine to inform and influence key stakeholders at TCCC and McDonald’s.

The role is open to be based in China.


KEYDUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.            Work with Country Business Managers and McDonald’s Senior Executives to identify market growth opportunities and deliver restaurant based quality and promotional initiatives to deliver short and long term profitable growth.             25%

2.            Develop and publish a periodic category communication that influences  strategic direction through the combination of market realities, consumer analytics, synthesis of internal & external research, and key stakeholders      20%

3.            Develop a position-appropriate, product-level training curriculum and delivery model that builds the overall coffee knowledge and technical skills of McCafe employees and business stakeholders within the Coca-Cola system     15%

4.            Create and sell-in a consumer-driven vision for certified coffee and tea sourcing with a full commercial solution that delivers brand value and differentiation while maintaining category margins for TCCC and McDonald’s   15%

5.            Work with the Global Brewed Beverage and local innovation teams to feed strong ideas to initiative pipeline. Determine an innovation and portfolio strategy for the category that is based on strategic opportunities and priorities   10%

6.            Lead the development of commercial and consumer tools as required to deliver against business growth requirements.  This will include coordinating with the TMD marketing team on agency briefs and evaluation of required materials.            10%

7.            Track and analyze previous promotional and competitive activities (e.g., pricing, equipment and marketing) to develop a category best practice library                 5%
