As part of the growing portfolio of work that we undertake around the world, we are seeking to identify a suitably qualified Information Technology Specialist who would be interested in a potential four year consultancy assignment to contribute to a recovery programme for Syria. The role will be based in Turkey but may require travel to Syria when the security situation allows.

The role will be based in Turkey but may require travel to Syria when the security situation allows.
In particular we are looking for individuals with the following experience:
- Solid experience of at least 5 years in PC and server support
- Thorough knowledge of Windows Server & Windows Client operating systems, backup and restore services, physical and logical LAN and WAN infrastructure principles as well as with communication equipment and services.
- Proven track record in the establishment and maintenance of web portals and data bases
- Familiarity with web-based media and social networks
- Ability and readiness to work under stress
- Ability and readiness to work and live in an off-capital environment on the Turkish-Syrian border
- Good working knowledge of English
Additional advantages:
- Experience in working in Syria and/or neighbouring countries
- Working knowledge of Arabic
