Channel Manager – On-Premise Channels

DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:
Develop channel strategy, tactics and toolkits based on channel specific purchase behaviour and customer insights and cooperate with region/bottlers’ channel team to maximize the sustainable and profitable channel volume growth.

KEYDUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Developing a total channel strategic game plan for Eating & Drinking Channelto identify key opportunities to meet both short and long term business goals

  2. Developing full execution plans with prioritized objectives, and align objectives with regions/bottlers to drive E&D plan (OBPPC, PoS, Channel specific marketing program) realization

  3. Build on sustainable meal platform to ensure the consistent system focus, right resources and increasing capability to drive leadership of E&D Channel

  4. Engage diversified stakeholders (BU marketing, franchise, bottling group) to fully understand and exploit business trends & opportunities to build E&D best-in-class practices and continuous success of the channel

COMMUNICATION COMPLEXITIES:

Internal: Division Marketing, Franchise Region Channel and bottler MDM, Commercial Channel Execution, RTM, Shopper marketing and Key Account Organization.

External: Bottling Group Head Office counterpart, Bottlers Plant SMD and Agencies, suppliers.

ANALYSIS:

The candidate must be able to develop new approaches & thinking for the E&D channel’s needs.  It involves a new selling and execution in order to meet customer and consumer needs in both traditional and mid-high E&D.  Forward positive thinking, good analytical skills and clear channel understandings are critical.  Project management skills with cross functional teams is important.

JUDGMENT AND DECISION MAKING:

The E&D channels are huge opportunity but where KO China currently only touch the surface. Understand about the size of opportunities and key business drivers. Identify how the KO system needs to execute to make channel strategy landed on appropriate way.   

INNOVATION:

The job involves designing the execution plan for E&D channels based on shopper insights and channel strategy.  Ability to innovate and consolidate ideas to drive system execution is critical.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Full time, currently with no direct report. Need to supervise third party agency people.

RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 6 years of solid working experience in E&D Channel operation and/or trade marketing.

  • Excellent  analytical & communication skills with a highly can-do attitude

  • Proven ability to work with diverse teams to drive changes and deliver business goals.

  • Previous experience in integrated execution planning, project management

  • Ability to work in a fast, unstructured, and constantly changing culture that focuses on speed and pragmatism.

  • Highly adaptability to changing environment and not afraid to take calculative risks

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

University/Bachelors degree

CULTURAL DIVERSITY:

Excellent written and oral English & Chinese skills

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 

20% + travelling required
