HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation and the Aga Khan Foundation in Kyrgyz Republic (AKF) are jointly designing a project proposal in response to the call for tender on “Small and Medium Enterprise Development in Alai and Chon-Alai” announced by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in April 2013. The overall objective of the project is the creation of (self) employment and reduction of under- and unemployment in the target region.
Foreseen duration of the project is following: Part 1: 01.08.2013 – 31.01.2014 and Part 2: 01.02.2014 – 31.12.2017.
HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation and AKF are looking for a Livestock Business Facilitator to the Project who will be based in Gulcho in Alai district.
The main responsibilities:
- Facilitate business relations between actors in livestock value chains
- Analyze business plans in the livestock sector
- Support the Project Manager in his/her tasks
- Liaise with state authorities and institutions
- Coordinate and supervise the work of project partners in the sector
Qualifications:
- Business-minded livestock specialist
- Experience in the private sector, e.g. in processing and marketing of livestock products
- Educational background as veterinarian, livestock specialist, food processing, economy (master degree)
- High gender and conflict sensibility
- Excellent oral and written communication skills Kyrgyz and Russian, English preferable
- Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
- Self-motivated
