Accountant , Syria

Crown Agents is an international development company delivering capacity building and institutional development services in procurement, public financial management, revenue enhancement and expenditure management. As part of the growing portfolio of work that we undertake around the world, we are seeking to identify a suitably qualified Accountant who would be interested in a potential four year consultancy assignment to contribute to a recovery programme for Syria. The role will be based in Turkey but may require travel to Syria when the security situation allows.
In particular we are looking for individuals with the following experience:

• Accountant with at least 10 years of professional experience
• Ability and preparedness to adopt to tailor-made financial management procedures
• Ability and readiness to work and live in an off-capital environment on the Turkish-Syrian border
• Good working knowledge of English
• Working knowledge of Arabic

Additional advantages:

• Experience in working in Syria and/or neighbouring countries
