Fixed term appointment until December 2013 in the first instance with the expectation of an extension
Salary Range: from £59,630 per annum
The Energy Research Partnership (ERP) is a high level forum that brings together key representatives from the energy industry, government and the public sector, including funders of energy research, development, demonstration and deployment (RDD&D) in academia, to shape and influence energy policy and how it is implemented in the future energy system.
The ERP Analysis Team is hosted by the UK Energy Research Centre (based in Imperial College, London). It is funded under three-year agreements, the current version expiring in December 2013. Renewal is presently under active negotiation.

The Head of the Analysis Team will oversee the activities of the team as a whole, plan the overall effort and priorities, gain the approval of ERP to the programme, ensure its delivery, and represent the work of ERP to its various external stakeholders and other parties. The successful candidate will have substantive direct experience of energy systems, demonstrated capability to lead the team intellectually, and the ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders. They will additionally be expected to undertake for specific projects as part of the overall programme.
The successful candidate will be educated to PhD level (or equivalent) in a technical subject relevant to energy systems or components technologies. It is essential that you have extensive experience relating to energy systems or technologies plus as well as experience of successfully leading a high profile, innovative and complex project and team within a large organisation. A track record of creating partnerships with very senior colleagues and organisations at an international level is imperative.
